Hotel prices move constantly — sometimes dropping 20–30% in the days before your stay, sometimes jumping when demand spikes. Most travellers check once, feel uncertain, and either overpay or spend hours refreshing tabs trying to time the market.
HotelDrop exists to fix that. Install the extension, find a hotel you like, click "Watch" — and we'll email you the moment the price drops. No subscription, no premium tier, no reason to keep checking manually.
The product will always be free for travellers. We make money when you book — not when you sign up.
HotelDrop is 100% affiliate-funded. When you click "Book now" inside the extension and complete a hotel reservation, we receive a commission from the booking site — typically 2–5% of the room cost. Your price does not change.
Affiliate disclosure: HotelDrop earns a commission when you click a "Book now" link inside the extension and complete a hotel booking. The price you pay is identical to what you'd pay going directly to the site. Full details in our Privacy Policy §8.
Because we're paid on completed bookings — not on clicks or impressions — our incentive is to show you the genuinely best prices, not to push the highest-margin options. Prices inside the extension are always sorted cheapest-first.
HotelDrop was built by [Name], a solo developer who got frustrated paying $40 more than a friend for the same hotel room on the same night. After spending a weekend building a scrappy script to monitor price changes, the idea became a proper product. The goal: give every traveller the same pricing intelligence that deal-hunters use — without requiring a spreadsheet or a browser full of tabs.
We think trust is built by being specific about what's off the table:
